Title: Pronouns Post by: LLR on December 10, 2016, 10:56:44 am Let's start with some basics - pronouns. What should the structure be? What should they be?
I was thinking 1st person sing 2nd person sing (should there be a formal and informal? i lean toward no) 3rd person sing (three genders + inanimate) 1st person plur 2nd person plur 3rd person plur That seem good? For nouns, pronouns, adjectives, and perhaps even verbs.
For example if to pak is "I am" then tora pakra would mean "We are". ra being the suffix making words plural. Perhaps the plural of "it" could be "they" if you are going to have three genders in the third person. Adding whatever plural suffix you chose to whatever word you use for "it". Would it be like Spanish and other languages where the pronoun is not necessary because it can be inferred from the verb? Although it wouldn't be the actual word Mr. So we will need a word for Mr and perhaps a word equivalent to Mam or MS. Whatever the feminine of MR or SIR would be. Some women don't like Mam because it implies an older woman and prefer Miss. One word for that would be enough. A word that implies the feminine of MR or SIR.

E.g. "Even though they are very far apart, Bob and the planet Neptune have a lot in common." I would use the personal one for that (eor) but it's an interesting question. Anyway, I like the pronouns as they currently are in the draft post. |
